Bechem United striker Amed Toure has disclosed that Asante Kotoko turned down the chance to sign Robin Gnagne before joining sworn rivals Hearts of Oak in 2011.
According to Toure, who was then the golden boy of the Porcupine Warriors revealed that the club passed on the chance to land the Ivorian guardsman due to his gibbous body size after introducing the him to the management of the club.
According to Toure ,Kotoko rejected him because they believed the player was fat and he therefore he can’t run in the game hence he was not given the chance to train the team.
"They told me he is fat and can’t run in the game ,i wanted him to have trial with the under 20 but they rejected him," he told Metro FM.
“I later linked him to Red Bull Academy in Ghana before signing for Accra Hearts of Oak in 2011,” he added
Hearts of Oak captain Robin Gnagne has signed a one year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2017
