Residents of Agezae in Nzema 'cry foul' for facing many challenges.

Agezae is a small community at the Western part of Ghana, Nzema to be precised. Though farming and fishing are the most dominant occupation, there are some major challenges which the people of Agezae face.

Some notable challenges have been discussed below.

To begin with, it has come to the realisation that,  the absence of quality communication network or service is problematic. Residents of Agezae find it very difficult to send and receive information with the hope of getting a direct feedback. This 'canker' has compelled residents to move into the next town before using technology to communicate. Alternatively, one needs to climb an electric pole or tree in order to get network for calls, but the dangers likely to emergence afterwards wouldn't be a good one. There have been some record case where people lose their teeth as a result of falling from the tree.

Another issue is lack of social amenities. An 'inquisitive survey' in the community will prove that, basic social amenities such as Hospitals, Schools, public toilets and much more are scarce, making life unbearable for people living there. It is 'awful' to know that, majority of sick patients always 'give up their ghost' on the way to a nearby hospital, since it takes about 20km from Agezae to reach there. This situation is worrisome.

In summation, the people of Agezae find it difficult to 'cope' with life as a result of the absence of quality communication and social amenities.  The government should take a critical look at this small community by providing them with what they lack.  Moreover,  philanthropist and NGOs can support the people of Agezae as well.  This will make life there enjoyable.
